In the Dominican Republic the Sisters work primarily in Barrio Las Flores, a neighborhood
in the city of San Pedro de Macoris. Here the Sisters and the people, with the help of their Diocese and many generous friends in the United States, have built a church, a school, and a medical clinic.
These services allow children who cannot afford to attend the public schools begin their education and youngsters who are vulnerable to preventable or treatable diseases are vaccinated and treated.
Through education and health care, children and families in this impoverished area are building better and healthier lives for themselves and the Sisters are privileged to be their partners.
