Guidelines for Cottage Guests
Each Guest must abide by the following guidelines set by the Society of the Transfiguration (the “Society”). Please review the guidelines and check to indicate you understand and will follow them. The Society may change these guidelines from time to time.
- A background check is required for all Guests.
- For health and safety purposes, Housekeeping will exchange clean linens for soiled linens weekly.
- Trash bags must be tied shut and are to be disposed of in the trash can outside the property or contact our on-call phone (513-846-5359) for disposal. Trash can lid must be secure, to avoid issues with animals.
- Furniture is not to be moved as it is cumbersome for staff to rearrange and damages the floors.
- Guests must report any broken items to Housekeeping promptly.
- If an exterminator is required, Guests will be responsible for exterminator costs and any other related damages, as assessed by the Society.
- No minor child may be left unattended. At all times, parents must keep close control of their children or any children on the property for whom the Guest has responsibility.
- Any acts or threatened acts of violence, intimidation, or unsafe, disruptive, or disorderly behavior on the property will not be tolerated.
- The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited in or around the property.
- The property is a tobacco-free facility. Tobacco use (e.g., cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, snuff, dip, and chewing tobacco) is prohibited.
- No open flames are permitted in guest bedrooms.
- Do not disable or tamper with any fire safety equipment.
- All property belonging to Guests shall be at the risk of such person only and the Society will not be liable for damages to a Guest’s property or for theft or misappropriation of that property. Once vacated, all Guest possessions must be removed from the Society’s property or the Society may charge the Guest a removal fee.
- Any keys or entry cards which the Society provides shall remain the Society’s property at all times. A Guest may not make any copies of the keys and/or key cards. Any loss must be reported to the Society immediately and a Guest must pay a $25 fee for replacement of keys or cards and of changing locks.
- A Guest must not engage in any illegal or unlawful activity anywhere on the Society’s property.
- A Guest must not damage the property or any part thereof, commit waste, create a nuisance, or make any use of the property that is offensive, nor do any act that would tend to injure the reputation of the property. Any expenses incurred by the Society for repairing or correcting damages caused by a Guest will be charged to the Guest.
- A Guest must provide 24 hours’ notice to the Society of a check out. A Guest must clean the Guest’s assigned cottage before check-out. A Guest must leave the property in the same condition as when the Guest moved in.
- If any violation of the Guidelines are identified, the Society reserves the right to expect correction within 24 hours or to immediately terminate occupancy.
I understand and will abide by these rules. I understand that if I do not follow these rules, I will be asked to leave the Society’s property and will not be able to return.
