Buildings

All of our guest rooms have towels and linens provided.  Our sinks have hand soap and our showers have body wash, but otherwise guests must bring their own toiletries and hairdryers.

Four of the rooms in St. Mary’s have their own mini-fridge and microwave.  The two guest kitchenettes in St. Mary’s also have larger refrigerators, microwaves and sinks.  The kitchen in BethAnna is fully stocked for cooking.  We have baskets of snacks (crackers, chips, granola bars) available to guests at all times.  Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are also provided, as is spring water (we ask guests to bring their own refillable water bottle – please no single-use plastic water bottles).

All of our buildings have WiFi.    St. Mary’s is equipped with a projector, screen and sound system and both St. Mary’s and BethAnna have televisions (for laptop hookup), white boards, easels and pads.

St. Mary’s has a browsing library of spiritual books and other materials to read while you are here.

Some yoga mats are available for your group’s use.

St. Mary’s has a fire pit for guest use with prior permission.

Grounds

Transfiguration Spirituality Center is located on 22 beautiful acres.  Our grounds are open to all of our guests (with the exception of the Bethany School property).

Our northern campus landscape was renovated in 2024 to include a recirculating stream, native plants and an outdoor altar located amid a lightly-wooded area with walking paths and spaces for meditation.  A gazebo (complete with electricity, a ceiling fan and Wifi) is situated behind St. Mary’s and looks over the greenspace.  St. Mary’s has two patios - one with a retractable awning and a waterfall feature and one with tables for outdoor dining.

Next to BethAnna is a labyrinth for meditative prayer walks.   One of our staff members is a labyrinth guide who would be happy to teach you or your group about this ancient walking prayer practice.

Spiritual Opportunities

To celebrate the Eucharist with your group, please let us know ahead of time.  We can provide the elements needed (including GF hosts).  You must bring your own vestments.

Guests can arrange to have a tour of the Stone Chapel, or use it for prayer or worship services.

The St. Mary’s Chapel can be used for Eucharist or prayer services.

The labyrinth, located between the Stone Chapel and BethAnna, is available to all our guests.

Guests can also worship with the Sisters.  Please let us know if you wish to do so and we’ll arrange that for you.  You can see their worship times here.  (Please note that our convent is a scent-free zone.  We ask that you not wear perfumes or colognes while visiting with the sisters.  Thank you!)  Worship services are also available via Zoom.
