Sr. Teresa Marie

Sr. Teresa Marie, C.T. came to the Community in 1963 and was professed in 1967, the last Sister to be professed in the 4-year period, and the first who never wore the “big sleeves” of habit! She grew up in Berkley, CA, went to UC Berkley graduating with a degree in Geography and a teaching certification. She went to Xavier University and got a degree in Elementary School Administration, and then back again for a degree in Spirituality. Sr. Teresa got the key to Bethany School where she taught, was an administrator, and then became the principal. Most recently, she was on the Bethany Board. In 1980 she left Bethany and moved to CA with Sr. Alice and was there until 2008 when she was elected Superior for two 5-year terms. She was very grateful for the 10-year term limit! She is currently on the Leadership team, the Novitiate team, the Liaison for the NC ministry, and is Sister Bursar. If she isn’t in Cincinnati at the Mother House, you can find her at the Sisters’ house in Bat Cave sitting on the porch looking at the mountains.
