On Christ the King ~ Sunday, November 20 ~ in San Pedro de Macoris, Republica Dominicana, after months of work by many people, La Iglesia Buen Pastor was consecrated in Barrio Las Flores.

This fine new "Church of the Good Shepherd" has been built almost entirely by teams of volunteers from Florida and by those who live in the barrio. The worship space occupies the first floor, with a large open area upstairs that may become classrooms.  The Church is across the "street" from El Centro Buen Pastor which has served as medical clinic, school, and infant care and feeding center since its beginnings more than twenty years ago.
