As a Community,
we try to respond to the invitation of Jesus, "Follow Me." Our way is neither
entirely active nor entirely contemplative. In this "mixed life" we try to
keep a balance between prayer and service, letting our prayer life guide and
sustain our self-offering as we reach out to those in need.
As Episcopalians
and as part of the Anglican Communion, we are inheritors of a rich and
varied liturgy. The Book of Common Prayer is a vital part of our life and
worship, in the Divine Office as well as the Holy Eucharist. Thoughout the
year we hear, sing and pray the Scripture stories about the working of God
in creation, and are thereby invited to offer ourselves in response. The
daily schedule page will give you an idea
of the structure of our life.
The Photo Album includes
assorted
pictures of the Convent, our grounds and Sisters involved in daily life here
and in our Branch Houses.
On "The Transfiguration" page, you
will find St. Luke's account of the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mount
Tabor.
